Job Objective

To drive our traditional trade business and to ensure top quality POS execution in all key international and local outlets. Focus must be on both short-term target achievement (turnover, profit, market shares, sales fundamentals) and all organizational measures to ensure healthy long-term development.

Key responsibilities

Strategic:
Plan long-term organization targets, priorities and structure (together with BDM)
Coverage annual update: identify best stores & work out optimal routing to cover them
Plan personnel need in line with coverage targets (including Dedicated Sales Force (DSF) at distributors)
Identify investment priorities among all distributors/ wholesalers, including DSF projects
Develop merchandiser concept and regularly check for quality and efficiency
Design & update information and reporting systems/ procedures

People:
Assess and support recruitment of Distributor Sales Representatives (DSR): develop procedure and carry out regularly
Train and coach Distributor Sales Supervisor (DSS) – train the trainer – and DSR: develop concept and do it ongoing on the job
Lead, motivate, control and praise DSS and DSR
Check implementation quality of DSR

Planning:
Plan KPIs: total TT, per region, per direct client, per DSF (brand level)
Match KPIs with Bonus system (cooperate with Distributor)
Planning and Control of TT Budgets
Planning of Activity Program (together with Brand Management /Trade Marketing)
Design good planning/forecasting procedure (together with BDM)
Operational
Drive & monitor achievement of quantitative KPIs and benchmark between DSS and DSR
Drive, monitor & benchmark achievement of qualitative KPIs (Sales Fundamentals): distribution, shelf, pricing, merchandising
Constant search for business opportunities
Constant search for efficiency improvement: rebates, KES, field efficiency, etc.
Check merchandiser quality & take action
Negotiate (annual) contracts with wholesalers (cooperate with Distributor)
Steer optimal management of wholesalers
Steer pre-selling organization
Establish & update selling standards for DSR

Other:
Establish important contacts to trade partners
To do regular store visits and establish quality-oriented mentality in whole field organization
